- Clean inside and out, and rinse salt off the chassis after beach trips. Leave vents or a roof hatch slightly open so air moves.
- Drain water tanks and the hot water system, especially over winter.
- Keep the battery charged or isolated so it doesn’t flatten.
- Store under cover if you can, and move the van every few weeks to avoid flat spots on tyres.
- Check for rodents and seal gaps where cables and hoses enter.
Book a service before your first big trip after storage. Brakes and bearings are the usual suspects.
